Colleton County Memorial Library
The Colleton County Memorial Library (CCML) services the Colleton County area. There are three libraries in this system serving the residents.
This library has several collections for all ages with all interests, such as
- Young Adult
- Children's Services
- South Carolina Reference
- Graphic Novels
I chose this library because it is my local library, and I have the most experience with it. I frequent this library, and I enjoy the atmosphere.
CCML does not currently have a blog. I think that the director would not mind if I made one that was updated frequently, but I am not sure if the library would need it, as it is a smaller branch. A blog would be useful for keeping up-to-date information, such as events, club meetings, and book reviews.
Depending how the blog is utilized and advertised, a blog could be beneficial to a library. As stated above, it can provide up-to-date information about the upcoming events at the library, as well as club meetings and book reviews. I believe the book review aspect would be most beneficial since some people look at reviews before buying or borrowing a book.
